Sea dragons and corals emanate from a transparent, floating sculpture that contains a prism in the center, that reflects rainbows onto the surrounding walls. The video is projected through the rotating, coral-shaped sculpture, thus creates its shadow in the center of the projection. The video poetically reminds us about endangered chorals losing their colors before they vanish from the riffs.
Physical space is transformed into an ethereal world inhabited by the spirits of nature. It is a dimension where life and impermanence intertwine. It is a liminal zone where extinct creatures and endangered species haunt the spectator through the artifice of technology: that very modern form of magic that is able to recreate alternate worlds and imbue them with life.
