One of the main characters in Loher’s universe is the “Bubblelady,” an imaginary being that wields authority over the skies. Here she seeks out a pigeon population that has lost its ability to fly. Dependent on this basic skill for survival, the pigeons have turned to the “Bubblelady” for flight training.
Loher was inspired by the beautiful, delicate and fleeting nature of a bubble suspended in the air, only to dissipate and disappear forever within milliseconds of its creation.
